With its release Christmas Day release fast approaching, Lionsgate has released the final theatrical poster for their comic book adaptation The Spirit. (See below, click to make bigger) The buzz has been decideedly mixed on this, but I have my fingers crossed. I have long been an admirer of the adventurers of cartoonist Will Eisner’s masked hero and am hoping that director Frank Miller can successfully capture the strip’s tone and unique graphic style that made The Spirit one of the most influential comics in the history of the medium.
