I haven’t heard much about the upcoming CGI animated film Planet 51 except that its premise sounds like a fun, comedic flip of the standard alien invasion story. However, the trailer only half sells me on the concept. I love the Alien-esque “dog,” but I think the design of the inhabitants of Planet 51 look vaguely Shrek-ish and generic.
Planet 51 opens in theaters next November.
