We can add John Lithgow’s name to the cast of the Rise Of The Apes. The actor has just signed to the Planet Of The Apes prequel where he will play the Alzheimer’s-stricken father of James Franco, a scientists whose experiments may lead to a significant change in the leadership of the planet. Don Cheadle is also rumored to be part of the cast, though it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet.
Rupert Wyatt (The Escapist) is set to direct from a screenplay by The Relic co-writers Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa.
