‘Arrow’ Exec Producer Greg Berlanti Signed To Direct EPSILON

GregBerlantiScreenwriter and executive producer of the CW’s popular Green Arrow comic book adaptation series Arrow Greg Berlanti has just signed to direct the science-fiction thriller Epsilon.

The project’s screenplay is from Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick and is described by the Hollywood Reporter as –

[S]et after a failed robot rebellion on an Earth almost entirely devoid of electronic devices. The remaining robots seek refuge on a space station and begin to raise their own human lab rats, which they train to act as their agents. The main character is a man who discovers he is more human than he thought.

Although perhaps best known as a writer for his work on the Dawson’s Creek and Eli Stone television series and Green Lantern and Wrath OF The Titans films, Berlanti has previously directed the rom-coms The Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy (2000) and Life As We Know It (2010) as well as the pilot for his USA Network series Political Animals.

It’s not known when the film will get in front of cameras, but I would guess that it will be sometime next spring after production winds down on the new seasons of Arrow and his new series for the CW The Tomorrow People winds down.
