“An evil, ancient and powerful has returned,” intones the dwarf lord Durin IV (Owain Arthur) in the just released second trailer for season 2 of Amazon Prime’s epic The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power.
and based on what we see in the clip, there’s a large number of evils on their way to trouble the peoples of Middle Earth. In addition to the evil Sauron, there’s barrow wights, armies of orcs, a giant spider (perhaps Shelob?), and perhaps most worryingly, a balrog. Fortunately, there is Galadriel, Elrond, human warrior Elendil, the mysterious Tom Bombadill, ents, dwarfs, wizards, armies of men and elves and more.
