Concept Art From Burton/Cage SUPERMAN Film Hits Web

500x_nickcage-1Sometimes leaks from film projects hit the Internet while the film is being shot, sometimes it takes 10 years for them to hit the Web.

Io9 has a gallery of production art from 1999’s aborted Tim Burton/Nicolas Cage take on Superman, including what, if real, appears to be a costume test with a somnambulistic Nicolas Cage.

I don’t know if it’s due to fading over the 10 years, but doesn’t the costume’s “S” and cape look magenta colored? I was going to say “hot pink” but I couldn’t bring myself to type the words.

I think this is the first time that the public has seen the Nic Cage costume.

Yikes.
