Goodman Joins RED STATE As Cameras Roll

Cameras have finally started rolling on Kevin Smith’s political horror tale Red State this week, with Smith making a last minute addition to his cast – John Goodman.

Story details have been pretty much kept under lock and key outside of the basic premise that a group of kids run afoul of an extremely fundamentalist preacher (modeled on noted hate monger Fred Phelps of the Westboro Baptist Church) played by Michael Parks. So, no idea as to whom Goodman will be playing.

Goodman will be joining Dermot Mulroney, Kyle Gallner, Michael Angarano,  Steven Root, Melissa Leo and the recently cast Kevin Pollak on location
